Dasavatharam Movie Review

Mr. Kamal Hassan appears in 10 characters. Rangaraja Nambi / Govind Ramasaamy / The United States President / Avtar Singh / Christian Fletcher / Shinghen Narahasi / Krishnaveni / Vincent Poovaraagan / Kalifullah Khan / Balaram Naidu.

Real heros of Dasavatharam is Kamal & Technology. Each characters has a nice link with story.

Fletcher character meets almost 6 characters(Govind, Avtar Singh, Shinghen, Kalifullah, Balaram Naidu) directly.  Dressing sense is really good. Fletcher and Balaram Naidu characters are good examples. You can really feel Hollywood sound and videographic effects in car chasing. You can hear deep realistic sounds if you hear much closer. I doubt, is RaviVarman’s Camera have wings? Bird’s eye view and Indoor -to - outdoor camera spins are really good. He tried to show us things in a broad vision. Background music is not much impressive. Fletcher, Krishnaveni and Shinghen are Milestones for Makeup; Kamal breaks the ice in these characters specifically.

This is a Kamal’s film. You have to watch it very closer, so that you can really enjoy all timing comedies. After talking to Kalifullah, Fletcher says “Shit”, Immediately MS Basker says, “You are great dhurai.. Naan athai thaan mithichuten.. atha paarkamale correct aa sollitengale dhurai”.

There is no lame duet songs in-between faster screen play. First half of the movie goes damn fast. All viewers started experiencing Hollywood styled film. But that rape attempt scene brings them back to “tooring talkies”.

Some people things, Poovaraagan character was used to fill the movie length. Poovaraagan character was placed to tell some truths about social misleading and link among natural disasters and human activities.

Asin got to deliver more lines of dialogues. Nothing to talk about Mallika. Mallika is not a sexy actress for Tamil fans. She may look wild. But it is not enough.

Bush Character looks exactly like Bush. You cannot find who is that Japanese ;)  There were 3 logical mistakes on screen play.

#1. Krishnaveni , Who is supposed to be 95years old. She walks on people’s shoulders.

#2. Fletcher suddenly comes and hit Govind on beach. Just before that fletcher was in a building and hiding himself in front of Balram naidu. Govind asks route to beach to some street guys and reach it. But how fletcher can come to beach without a translator? also, How is it possible for Japanese guy too? How exactly they can find where is Govind?

#3. remember that Chola Mandabam in 12th century… Chola mandabam was situated before Beach.. Govind and asin jump from a train(railway bridge) it is located near that mandabam.They place that small “swami statue” near chola mandabam. But entry of Poovaraagan and crowd stand on a bridge. How people can stand on a railway bridge? Then they take a lorry and move away to some hospital, then avatar singh’s music hall then nagesh’s house then a fight. Look, Now Flecter, Govind and asin are far away from chola mandabam.

Big Swami statue come out after tsunami. Big swami statue was supposed to be dropped most opposite of Chola mandabam.  But In climax it appears in a different location which has no chola mandabam or railway bridge near.. It looks like a city area. Even due to tsunami it may be misplaced. But it must be located inside the frame with chola mandabam or railway bridge.
Overall , Dasavatharam is a full time entertainer and brand new story for tamil. Most advanced technical film. Kamal hassan deserve in each characters.  “Nee Terrific Scientist aa, illa Scientific Terrorist aa?” like that dialogue delivery, Fletcher’s entry from a helicopter. You can enjoy all 2:45 hours with kamal hassan’s excellence.

Each characters has more things to talk about. Then it will be a review of 10 films.

Dasavatharam is a technical milestone for Indian Film industry.
